In memoriam: Happy hunting sweet Salome

We miss you already. Thank you for your spunk, your quirks, for your sweet light, for your gentleness and patience with the wee one. Thank you for saying goodbye so tenderly. We will always be grateful for your peaceful spirit. May you know only comfort and beauty now.

Peace for Salome, and pain no more. Peace for all of us, who remember her.

Shalom, Salome...free of pain...free of suffering. Alleluia. Misi, Mijo, HoneyBoy, SO, and I bid you farewell and wish comfort for those who grieve your leaving.

Oh no, I hate posts like this. I know I should be more spiritual about the whole thing, but the loss of a much-loved pet is simply too hard to bear at times. I'm wishing you peace and blessings, wonderful memories and a soothed heart...

Thank you, each of you, for your kindness and comments. Dear mrs green, I apologize for distressing you. Somehow, I did not want Salome's passing to go unmarked, as we miss her so.

Not surprisingly, from time to time I hear her mewing or padding across the floor, or both, and just as I look up, see her for a moment. Then poof! She's gone and I remember I'm not supposed to see her any more. I love this about pets--That they show us how thin the veil.

a lovely tribute to a beautiful friend. Wonderful that she still lingers with you, helping you to see. It's a gift beyond measure.
