TGIF: It's good news Friday!

On Good News Friday we build into our community some of the happy, playful joie d'vivre of the villagers of Ordinary. Here are three of my faves this week. I invite you to share some good news or a feel good link of your own in the comments section below.

Stroll a lovely garden with herbalist Jeanne Rose
Make a pot of delicious tea, butter a piece of homemade bread, if you're lucky enough to have some on hand, and take a virtual stroll through the delightful garden of herbalist Jeanne Rose. The tour starts here, looking out her kitchen window to the giant rose-eating dragon on the wall opposite.

Moo-Poo Tea from Authentic Haven--It's good for your garden
Moo-Poo Tea, also known as manure tea, is an organic soil conditioner made from the composted manure of grass fed cows. Why is that good news (besides having one more resource for growing a healthy organic garden)? The folks at family-owned Haven Livestock have been raising grass-fed, antibiotic-free beef since 1924. If anyone knows how to do it and do it well, they do. That's rare enough these days to call for a celebration, and if you've ever used their products on your garden, I'd love to hear what you think of them.

Solar pumps replace windmills on the range
From an urban garden to ranch-style manure tea to the wide open range itself, our good news journey today ends with a new twist on the prairie water tank. It's solar powered now. Take a look.

Feeling good about something? Share it here!
Spread some good cheer! If something struck your fancy this week, and you'd like to share, please tell us about it in the comments section, along with a link. If the link is to one of your blog posts, all the better. Do keep it upbeat, family friendly and in the spirit of building a world more like that of the Village of Ordinary.

What are you feeling good about today? Share it below, won't you?

None of the web sites featured today solicited promotion, nor do I receive anything for mentioning them here, other than the pleasure of knowing about some folks who are working hard to make the world a little more like Ordinary.
We make peace in a million small ways every day.

You're welcome, Deb. They're tons of fun to do. There really are a lot of people working very hard to do the right thing and earn right livelihood.
